about

Hidden in life's imperfections and pain lie the unmistakable
treasures of wisdom, beauty, and strength.
Worn to Perfection grew from the desire to celebrate how God forms "beauty out of ashes" (Isaiah 61). Because of His grace, our miserable circumstances, grief and pain will transform us more perfectly and more beautifully than any "nip and tuck", staple surgery or diet trend. Sign me up! I felt the need to write a blog that demonstrated how failures and hardships are experienced by everyone...and that if you've had your share of ups an downs, then you are not alone. NO one should pretend to be perfect or have it all together. I wanted to show how its o.k to talk about depression, or death, or disabilities or bitterness-the sad, awkward and painful stuff. We don't have to believe societies market schemes for perfection. We don't have to have 4 obedient children to be admired or size -0 with muscles to be gorgeous.  We are beautifully formed and made by God just as we are! Because of Jesus we can be free of the pressures of this world, we don't have to conform to the world's expectations. We can rest in the knowledge of "I'm good, I'm beautiful."

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139:13-14.

God gives Hope and He restores.

So... welcome! I'm glad you stopped by.
